HAIR TRANSPLANT

In male pattern hair loss, hair shedding cannot be prevented unless testosterone is suppressed. All other methods are only methods of extending the transplanting period. After transplantation, there is no need to apply serum, etc. treatment. Prp treatment is not applied immediately after transplantation. During the transplantition process, the nutrition will increase as the blood circulation in the process area becomes active. Since the purpose of Prp is to increase the nutrition there with the plasma it contains, it is not needed in the first 6 months after Hair Transplantation operation. However, in patients with very thin wires, biotin supplementation therapy may be recommended.

The procedure is done with local anesthesia. Patients should stop using Blood Thinners one week before the procedure. There should be no consumption of green tea or any other herbal teas and alcohol within 3 days before the procedure. Depending on the stimulant substance used, the stimulant must be stopped using 1 week to 1 month in advance.

Hair transplantation process consists of 3 stages. First stage; the stage of collecting the grafts. In this procedure, which takes 1.5-2 hours on average, the patient is in a prone position. Locally, the nape (between the two ears) is anesthetized. Before the procedure, grade 1 hairs are shortened with the help of razor blade. Local anesthesia is applied. Pain is felt at the first needle sites. After an average of 1 minute, the pain disappears. (the first pain felt like a mosquito bite). Afterwards, the grafts are collected using titanium tips with the help of a special motor. Grafts are grouped by counting one by one for grooving during collection. There are multiple roots in a single graft. (The guarantee of 2000 grafts-3000 grafts-4000 grafts at market is completely a sales policy. We do not care about the number of grafts. The number and quality of the roots in the grafts are our concern.)

After collection process, patient lies on back and takes a 5-10 minute break. The second stage is the channel opening stage. This stage lasts an average of 45 minutes to 1 hour. At this stage, the channels where we will place the grafts are opened using special needles. Before this stage, the area where to transplant  hair is anesthetized. In the same way, needle pain is felt in the first minute. It then feels the way patients describe it as “like concrete”. Immediately after channel opening, the collected grafts are placed into the opened channels one by one. It takes 2-3 hours on average.

After transplantation, a special spray is applied to the planted area. The purpose of spraying this spray is that the cultivated area should not be closed for the first 4 days that's why it is neccesary to protect the planted area from dust and this kind of external factors. At the same time, thanks to the special substances in its content, it also has a positive effect on wound healing. The area on the nape where the collection is made is dressed with a pomade tampon and the patient is wrapped in a bandage from the forehead. This bandage is removed and discarded after 2-3 days. And the prescribed cream is applied as a thin layer to the area where the collection is made, maximum 2 times a day. On the 4th day after transplantation, patient comes to hair wash with, the previously prescribed lotion and shampoo. It is preferred because the pH of the shampoo is 5.5. There is no advantage to the transplanted hair. The purpose of the shampoo is it does not harm the planting we have done. After the transplantation process, there are a total of 5 medicines to be used: an antibiotic, a painkiller, a cream, a lotion and a shampoo.

After the first 8-10 days following the transplantation, the healing process finishes completely. Patients can return to their daily routines. If a slight red appearance and crusts do not bother patients, they can start to work normally after the fourth day. However, in the first 4 days, any trauma or blow to the planted area should not be taken.

For the first 4 days after the procedure, the patient should lie on his back in the recommended position and should not turn left or right. It should never lie face down. Patients should wear a jacket, shirt, t-shirt with front zipper, buttons, rather than clothes as regular tshirts. During the first 4 days, patients should not wear a hat or cap, as it may traumatize the planted area.

SHOULD HAIR TRANSPLANT BE DONE IN SUMMER OR WINTER?

No specific season is required for hair transplantation. However, we want to avoid salt water for the first month after planting. For this reason, sometimes holiday plans can be postponed in the summer. Therefore, summer is not the most popular seasons. Winter, it is more preferable, as the hair has grown in the summer. However, it is easier to return to daily life after transplantation on the return from vacation.

DOES INSTALLED HAIR LOSS AFTER?

The transplanted hair is permanent. They do not shed afterwards. The reason is that the testosterone hormone causes hair loss, especially in men. The only unaffected area is the back of the hair, between the ears. Roots taken from here are permanent because they are not affected by these hormones. However, hair loss may occur due to reasons such as thyroid, anemia, circulatory disorder, cancer, skin diseases, heavy psychosomatic drugs, and substance use.

EVERY HAIR TRANSPLANTED IS SUCCESSFUL?

If the person of transplantation is suitable for the operation, every transplantation practise is successful. The above-mentioned diseases and conditions should not adversely affect the result, sufficient donor area should be available and the most important criterion should not be impaired tissue integrity in the skin.

CAN A SHAVER BE USED AFTER HAIR TRANSPLANT?

It can be shaved 1 month after hair transplantation, however, using razor blade is undesirable. After the first 20 days, the transplanted hair will fall out as it will go into the feeding phase and there is no need for a shaver since it enters the window period.

CAN I have SOMEONE'S HAIR (SON, SISTER, FATHER, ETC.) transplanted on myself?

No, grafts cannot are taken from anywhere or anyone other than their own nape area.
